Its digital interface makes it easy to change settings. However, it is not as well ergonomically designed and it is more difficult to move or store it during the winter.
What put the Frigidaire FFAP5033W1 above the other devices we consider is its design. It is stylish and has an attractive digital display, making it easy to see indicator lights and settings. One of the few areas where the older model, the Frigidaire FFAP7033T1, fell short was in the initial configuration of the pump. The testers and owners of the devices reported that removing the plug from the pump socket was complicated and that in some cases the plug simply broke.
This defect is not unique to Frigidaire, but it is something you should prepare for if you buy this model for the convenience of having a pump. We will be on the lookout to see if the FFAP5033W1 suffers from the same problem. In the switch from FFAP7033T1 to FFAP5033W1, Frigidaire increased tank capacity from 13.1 pints to 16.9 pints. If you live in a very humid space and run the machine continuously, this is a significant improvement, because the volume of water will fill up quite quickly and the device will turn off until you empty the bucket.

The LG PuriCare UD501KOG5 is a 50-pint medium capacity dehumidifier ideal for drying medium-sized spaces. It has an attractive design, a large digital display and a transparent water bucket with a large handle. This makes it easy to see when the tank needs to be emptied, and the handle makes it easy to transport the tank to a drain or sink. The 22-pint Frigidaire FFAD2233W1, which replaces the 30-pint Frigidaire FFAD3033R1, is a great choice for laundries, apartments and other small spaces.
It is portable and its four wheels make it easy to move from room to room if necessary. Our tester used this unit in a room of approximately 240 square feet and emptied the tank once a day during a period of heavy rain. In a larger space, you may need to empty it more often. Alternatively, if you have the right configuration, an included hose allows continuous draining into a sink, floor drain or directly to the outside. In general, our editor liked the sleek design, the quiet buzz and the easy process of removing the tank.
